Akinlabi Akinbulumo
Akinlabi Akinbulumo is the CEO and founder of Gr8an, a brand strategy development company in Lagos Nigeria.

Prior to founding Gr8an, he has been at the helm of developing creative ideas in the Nigerian business and IT landscape. In 2006, he joined Nakachi Consulting, a management consulting company where he was a trainee consultant before being reassigned to its sister company. He was instrumental to the establishment of the financial services company PAYSTAR Limited and was head of the Strategic High Impact Teams before becoming its Business Development Manager in 2008. He moved to Guaranty Trust Bank in 2009 to further his career in brand management and development. At GTBank, he was a part of the Brand management team, which over the period of his stay developed a robust social media engagement platform and the most effective cutting edge advertising in the industry.

Gr8an was set up to deliver the sort of brand strategy that has maximum impact on business strategy and business process engineering. Using an approach called “decisive advantage”, he and his associates have led their team to work on a number of brands including Guaranty Trust Bank, Access Bank, Microsoft Lumia/Nokia, Etisalat, MMA2, Dangote Cement, Unity Bank, Ndani, Sterling Bank, Aiteo and CBN/NIBSS.

An ardent follower of the Sun Tzu philosophy Akinlabi constantly driven by the maxim: “The true product of a company, regardless of its resources, is the quality of its thinking.”

His discipline as a Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Technology Minna, has been essential to his drive in ensuring that flow and processes sit at the heart of strategy development. Over the years he has been called in to personally consult on brand strategy development and business process engineering for a few personal brands and youth initiatives. Along with his years of experience, this earned him an invitation into the Nigerian Economic Summit Group youth initiative.

He is a teacher at heart and as a result has facilitated in a number of Brand development and management forums and also has co-facilitated seminars on Business development, Leadership, Operational Excellence and Process Re‐Engineering.
